Accelerated M.A. in Ministry – Social Justice Ministry or Intercultural Ministry
Âé¶¹ students may petition to receive up to 12 semester credit hours for Advanced Standing at Catholic Theological Union (CTU) for particular courses completed at Âé¶¹ to be used toward the .
The M.A. in Ministry program consists of a core set of courses in bible, theology, and ministry; concentration area required and elective courses; a ministry practicum with theological reflection; and a final integrating component. The successful graduate of the M.A. in Ministry will have the requisite knowledge and skills needed for pastoral ministry and leadership roles within a variety of contexts.

Âé¶¹ students may choose between concentrations in Social Justice Ministry or Intercultural Ministry.
INTERESTED STUDENTS’ PROCEDURE
Interested students will meet with their advisor and/or the Chair of Theology at Âé¶¹ and with the Advisor of the M.A. in Ministry Program at CTU.
Students apply to the M.A. in Ministry Program at CTU in their junior or senior year at Âé¶¹, following the Admission Process for the 4+1 program below. The application is accompanied by
The student is accepted into the M.A. in Ministry with concentration in Social Justice or Intercultural Ministry at CTU and meets with the M.A. in Ministry Advisor at CTU to choose the design of her/his program and to discuss the fulfillment of degree prerequisites.
ADMISSION PROCESS 4+1 ACCELERATED BACHELOR’S TO MASTER’S WITH CTU
Students from Âé¶¹ who wish to be admitted to the cooperative degree program must successfully complete the following admission process:
- Complete the
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a Âé¶¹ faculty member including a statement of preparedness for graduate work
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a supervisor/mentor for experiential and/or community engaged learning
- Submit transcripts from all colleges/universities where academic credit was earned
- Include a personal statement essay for master’s degree applicants – prompt questions can be found on the .
- Pay CTU application fee of $55.00 (subject to change)
